Background of the project
The modern agricultural park in Yuncheng City, Shanxi Province has more than 1400000 ㎡of land, and mainly develops special apple planting and vegetable planting. It is a provincial-level modern agricultural demonstration park.
With the continuous expansion of the planting area and the continuous development of the industrial scale, there are pain points such as long labor time, high water and fertilizer costs, incomplete and untimely collection of farming information.
Project requirements
Toptel cooperated with China Mobile to use 5G technology to realize the transformation and upgrading of the agricultural industry chain by building a 5G+ smart agricultural irrigation system. Through "5G + Smart Agricultural Irrigation", managers can view relevant information about crops just by sitting at the computer, and make decisions based on the planting recommendations of the big data center. Managers can also remotely control water and fertilizer irrigation, pesticide spraying, etc., and deliver fertilizers and irrigation water to the soil at the root of crops in a timely, appropriate and accurate manner to achieve precise and intelligent irrigation, and ensure optimal nutrient absorption for crops and minimized cost consumption.
In addition to the benefits of saving time and effort, the 5G field water and fertilizer irrigation system also takes advantage of the large bandwidth, low latency, and wide link of the 5G network, and uses various sensors to upload the collected soil humidity, air humidity and other data in real time. To the big data center, through the regular release of irrigation forecast results, scientifically guide managers to irrigate appropriately in real time to achieve the purpose of saving water and increasing fertilizer.
Solution
The smart irrigation system uses the combination of the Internet of Things, big data, cloud computing and sensor technology to monitor the environmental temperature, humidity, light intensity, soil conditions and other parameters in agricultural production in real time. Threshold value or human intervention operation is used as the control condition for the operation of irrigation equipment to realize intelligent irrigation.
The system is divided into soil detection, weather detection system, irrigation control system and cloud data processing system according to its functions.
The monitoring system transmits the detected data to the 5G gateway through the communication protocol signal, and the 5G gateway uploads the data to the cloud platform for comparative analysis and processing. When the detected data is less than or greater than the set threshold, the cloud platform will issue instructions to the terminal, and users can also issue instructions through the client to achieve accurate watering.
